Hi, I'm Destinee — a wife, a mom of three, and the heart behind After Bedtime Co.

For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of starting a small business. I've always had little passions and hobbies — creative ideas constantly running through my mind — but I never fully stepped into them. Life was busy, motherhood was full, and I kept putting that dream on hold.

Then August of 2025, I lost my little brother, Alex.

Grief has a way of shifting everything. It reminded me how fragile life is, how tomorrow isn't promised, and how easy it is to move through your days without truly being present. I found myself feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and not fully here — even with the little family I love more than anything.

Starting After Bedtime Co. became more than just launching a business. It became my reminder to live in the present.

The name comes from that magical moment every parent knows — when the house quiets down, the toys are put away, and you finally get a breath. After bedtime is when I found space to reflect, to create, and to slowly feel like myself again.

I chose candles because they gave me something peaceful to pour into — literally and emotionally. The slow process, the soft glow, the warmth of a flame — it became a form of therapy. A small ritual that helped ground me and bring intention back into my days.

Each candle is hand-poured with love and purpose. Not just to light a room — but to remind you to pause. To breathe. To be here.
